Join us the first and third Thursday of each month (September-May) at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Jenison, Michigan.

Please note that if Jenison Public Schools are closed due to inclement weather, MOPS will be cancelled.

The MOPS International theme for 2008-2009 is ADVENTURES IN MOTHERING and is based on the scripture passage from Ephesians 3:18.  This theme equips moms to learn more about themselves as they go through the adventure of motherhood.  They will celebrate and embrace the fun in the experiences, even in the midst of daily mom life that stretches them emotionally and spiritually.

The metaphor for Adventures in Mothering is an amusement park. With the sights, sounds, tastes and smells of the amusement park, motherhood might feel like a sensory overload. But your MOPS group will enjoy this together and learn more about themselves as women, moms and leaders.

Fall Semester Meeting Dates
 September 18th, October 2nd, October 16th, November 6th, November 20th, December 4th, December 18th and January 15th.

 Spring Semester Meeting Dates
February 5th, February 19th, March 5th, March 19th, April 2nd, April 16th, May 7th and May 21st.

Meeting Timetable
MOPS meetings run from 9:00 a.m. - 11:15 a.m. and children may be dropped off beginning at 9:00 a.m.  Breakfast starts at 9:15 a.m. and the meeting starts promptly at 9:30 a.m.

Meeting cost is $6 per meeting, which covers the cost of creative activity or speaker and childcare. The meeting dues are payable at the first meeting in September ($48) and then again at the first meeting in February ($48).  Moms are expected to pay by semester; if you cannot pay by semester, please contact Deb Cheyne.  All fees are non-refundable.  Special circumstances will be considered.

If you would like to enroll for the Fall 2008 Semester, please download and fill out a 2008-2009 Registration Form and mail it back to us.  If you have questions about the form or the MOPS ministry, please contact Deb at (616) 457-2420.

The MOPS annual fee is $23.95 per mom and includes a subscription to the bi-monthly MomSense Magazine (Retail value $20), Theme Book (Retail value $12.99), weekly Mom-E-Mail and special online Membership benefits updated each month with mom and kid activities, contests, coupons, author discussions and FREE music downloads.  This fee is due when you register, or at the first meeting in September - whichever comes first.
